Information about extrajudicial resolution of disputes

A client (natural person) who concludes an agreement with an attorney on provision of legal services has the right to seek extrajudicial resolution of disputes that may arise in connection with such agreement.

A precondition for extrajudicial resolution of a dispute is an unsuccessful effort to achieve an amicable settlement of the dispute directly between the parties. The client has the right for these purposes to approach the Bar Association, seated in Prague 1, Národní 16, www.cak.cz, with a petition, containing the requisites stipulated in Section 20n of Act No. 634/1992 Coll. on consumer protection, to institute an extrajudicial resolution of a consumer dispute.
